Legal
Terms of service
The agreement between you and the operator of Meroviks covering accounts, contest entry, prize payment and account closure.
1. Who you are contracting with
Meroviks is operated by the registered company named in the footer of every page of this site. That entry states the company’s full legal name, its registration number and its registered address. Correspondence about these terms should go to the support address published on the support page.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and resident in a territory listed as eligible on the eligibility page. You may hold one account. Providing a false name, date of birth or country of residence is a breach of these terms and voids any prize.
3. What a contest is
A contest is a competition of skill. You select a lineup of professional players under a salary cap, and lineups are ranked by fantasy points calculated from the recorded in-match statistics of those players under the published scoring table for that discipline. No part of a result is determined by a draw, a deal or a generated number.
4. Entry fees, rake and prize pools
A paid contest states its entry fee and its prize pool before entry. Meroviks retains a rake of 12% of total entry fees; the remainder forms the prize pool. Where a contest is marked as guaranteed, the stated prize pool is paid in full whether or not the field fills.
5. Lock and lineup changes
A lineup may be edited freely until lock, which occurs at the scheduled start of the first match on the slate. After lock no change is possible. A selected player who does not appear scores zero and is not substituted.
6. Cancellation and refunds
If a contest does not reach its stated minimum field, it is cancelled and every entry fee is returned in full. If cancelled or abandoned matches remove more than half of a slate, the contest is cancelled and refunded on the same basis. Refunds return to the balance the entry was taken from.
7. Settlement and payment
Contests settle from the final statistics supplied by our data provider. Where the provider issues a correction within 72 hours of a match, the affected contest is re-settled and balances are adjusted. A prize is credited to your account balance for the place your lineup finished in, and may be withdrawn once identity verification is complete.
8. Verification and anti-money-laundering
We are required to confirm your identity before a first withdrawal and may request documents at any time. Accounts may be suspended while checks are carried out. See the AML policy for the full framework.
9. Prohibited conduct
You may not hold multiple accounts, enter a contest on behalf of another person, use automated lineup submission, or take part in a contest covering a match in which you are a competitor, a member of staff or an official.
10. Closure and self-exclusion
You may close your account at any time. Self-exclusion, once confirmed, cannot be reversed before the chosen period has run. On closure any withdrawable balance is returned to you after verification.
11. Changes
Material changes to these terms are notified by email and take effect no sooner than 14 days after notice. Contests already entered continue under the terms in force at entry.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the operating company is registered, without prejudice to consumer rights you hold where you live.
